“What a player…” – Matheus Cunha completely agrees with Michael Carrick about ‘amazing’ Manchester United star

Matheus Cunha has issued huge praise for one of his ‘amazing’ Manchester United teammates during his time with Brazil over the international break.

Manchester United’s four summer signings; Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Šeško, and Senne Lammens; cost the club over £200 million under Ruben Amorim’s leadership.

While Lammens has already become a fan favourite and Šeško has shown promising flashes, it is Cunha and Mbeumo who have had the biggest influence on the team so far.

Mbeumo is currently United’s top scorer with six goals, five of which have come in the Premier League, and Cunha has played a key role in standout wins against sides like Liverpool and Brighton.

With just one defeat in their last seven league outings, United are hoping to keep climbing the table as the busy winter schedule approaches.

Cunha completely agrees with Carrick about ‘amazing’ United star

Cunha is currently on international break with Brazil and he has received praise from Carlo Ancelotti for his performances.

The ex-Wolves star has been asked about his new teammate Mbeumo, someone who Michael Carrick has been extremely impressed with.

Cunha has echoed the opinions of Carrick and claimed that it is ‘amazing’ to play alongside the Cameroon international at Old Trafford.

He told Brazilian media: “Amazing, what a player. It’s amazing to be there and to play with big players like Bryan, and to be coached by a winner is always something I feel privileged.”

Cunha will want to copy Mbeumo relationship

On the right side of United’s attack, Mbeumo is starting to build a great relationship with Amad behind him but it is not the same story on the opposite flank.

Cunha has had the likes of Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot playing behind him but they have not performed well. He has also had to play centrally at times.

That is one of the reasons why the Brazilian hasn’t quite found his best form yet this season. He will want to start building a strong relationship with the wingback on his side soon.
