“We’re back!” – Raphael Varane sends fiery Manchester United message ahead of pre-season

Raphael Varane has sent a fiery and confident message ahead of Manchester United’s pre-season tour, which starts on Wednesday.

Manchester United will kick off their eight-game pre-season fixture list on Wednesday afternoon, facing Leeds United in Oslo.

Those United players who did not participate in the latest round of international fixtures reported to pre-season training last Monday, with new signing Mason Mount joining the squad later that week.

One player who returned to training on schedule is Raphael Varane, who has been reunited with his central-defensive partner Lisandro Martinez.

Martinez was ruled out for the season in mid-April with an ankle problem and has since recovered, with the player now back in training and pictured once again alongside Varane.

“We’re back !! Rested, recharged, ready to go,” Varane said on Instagram. “Time to push ourselves physically and mentally to the limit. Let’s get to work.”

The message was of course accompanied by a photo of him and Martinez, with both players looking happy and ready for season two of Erik ten Hag’s era.

Ten Hag’s Reds will be flying to Oslo to face Leeds before heading to the United States of America to continue their pre-season adventure.
