“We all…” Bryan Mbeumo explains key reason for Man United turnaround ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Bryan Mbeumo has explained the key reason behind Manchester United’s recent success, after the club turned around their turbulent start to the campaign.

Manchester United’s start to the campaign didn’t come without its struggles, with the Reds taking a while to get off the mark both in the Premier League and in their other competitions.

Many were calling for the sacking of Ruben Amorim, especially after his side’s loss to Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup, although he has recently managed to turn things around.

United have managed to win their last three league games, which has seen them climb up to sixth in the table. Their next task is a tough test against Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest side.

One man who can be thanked for United’s turnaround of late is summer signing Bryan Mbeumo, who has notched three goals in his last two matches, including a brace against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Mbeumo pinpoints Amorim change

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, via Daily Star, Mbeumo was asked about United’s recent run of form, which he attributed mainly to a ‘togetherness’ in the side.

The Cameroonian said, “It hasn’t been easy at the start, it’s a new environment, new expectations, but with my link-up with my team, everything is going the right way.

“We all put a lot of work in training, that’s the most important thing. What we do out there, we try to repeat on the pitch. We are going to try to understand each other even better.

“The work we put in, the effort, the togetherness is the key,” he explained. “We try to stick to the plan and try to play as best as possible.

Mbeumo embracing ‘big club’ challenge

Throughout history, players have often lit up the league for smaller clubs, but then struggled to find their footing once they earned a big move. Mbeumo looks to be ignoring this trend.

After a 20-goal season in the league last year, it was expected that Mbeumo’s numbers would naturally deflate, but he has been more than impressive with four goal contributions in his last three games.

The Cameroonian winger clearly can play at this level, and regarding his mentality, he has said, “I like the challenges, I came here to a big club and I want to fight for the best places.”

After a summer of heavy investment, it is refreshing to see that all of United’s latest recruits have become instant successes at the club.
