Wayne Rooney picks one difference between him and Kobbie Mainoo, fans will agree

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has picked one key difference between him and Kobbie Mainoo.
Rooney joined United at the age of 18 and quickly became a household name at Old Trafford. He is now the club’s record goalscorer.
Mainoo has had a similar impact in terms of becoming an important player for the team quickly, however, he is doing so in a much worse squad.

The midfielder was solid once again despite United’s difficulties in their 1-0 defeat against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
He played alongside Sofyan Amrabat in the base of midfield but Leandro Trossard managed to score the only goal of the game.
Speaking before the game, Rooney was concerned that United were relying too much on the 19-year-old this season.
The former striker believes that the main difference between him and Mainoo is that he had top players in the dressing room alongside him.
“I had all these senior players around me who, you know, I made a lot of mistakes when I was young. But I got a lot of help from my teammates,” he told Sky Sports.
“With Mainoo at the minute, he’s having to be the main player at times, which is too much for him.
“And what we’re going to see, which is natural, is performance will drop, his confidence will drop, and he needs a bit of protection, and I don’t think he’s getting that at the minute.”
