Manchester United are reportedly planning on holding a video call with Juventus today (25 June) amid their interest in Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United have already committed their initial transfer budget to signings, bringing in Matheus Cunha and advancing talks for Bryan Mbeumo as they look to revamp their attack under Rúben Amorim.
With funds now depleted, the club must generate money through player sales to make further additions, with a striker and a midfielder at the top of their wishlist.
United are actively looking to offload Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony, and are also open to selling Rasmus Højlund for the right price.
The push for sales comes as part of a wider effort to reshape Amorim’s squad at Old Trafford ahead of the new season.
United engaging in video call with Juventus
While it is no secret that United want to sell the players mentioned above, this has not deterred suitors from enquiring about the conditions involved in the deals.
According to the Italian transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are now pushing ahead with their interest in Sancho, who United are demanding around £25 million for.
The report states that United and Juventus are set to sit down and speak via a video call, during which the Serie A side will inquire about the conditions of Sancho’s potential move.
However, it has been reported elsewhere by Italian media that the Turin side want a loan with an option to buy, or an obligation based on specific circumstances, while United would like a permanent sale.
Juventus are also said to be hesitant about Sancho’s wages, with the player demanding around £10 million a season.
United must ask Juventus about Luiz
As mentioned above, United are in the market to sign a defensive midfielder this summer. Casemiro is not getting any younger, Manuel Ugarte’s form has been inconsistent, and there is a chance Toby Collyer may head on loan.
One of Amorim’s priorities this summer is to sign players with proven Premier League experience, hence the push for Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Mbeumo from Brentford.

Regarding the call with Juventus, United should inquire about their Brazilian midfielder, Douglas Luiz. The 27-year-old has 175 Premier League appearances to his name from his time with Aston Villa, and according to Italian media, is available for around £21 million this summer.
United need an energetic and strong midfielder who can partner Bruno Fernandes in the middle of the park next season, but cannot afford to splash significant funds on a premium signing.
Luiz may be the perfect option for Amorim, given that he is experienced, knows the Premier League, and is entering the prime years of his career.
