Two Premier League clubs ‘inquire’ about Antony as Manchester United set new price tag

Two Premier League clubs have reportedly registered their interest in Antony as Manchester United adjust their summer transfer asking price.

Manchester United are entering the final phase of their summer transfer plans as Rúben Amorim prepares for his first full season in charge at Old Trafford.

The club have already secured deals for Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon, and Bryan Mbeumo. Cunha and Mbeumo are set to feature in a reworked front three, while 18-year-old Leon will serve as backup to Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu at left wing-back.

Over the next five weeks, United are targeting an experienced striker, a defensive midfielder, and a goalkeeper to provide real competition for André Onana.

However, further signings may depend on departures, with players like Alejandro Garnacho potentially needing to be sold to fund the next wave of arrivals.

Antony courted by Premier League teams

The writing has been on the wall for Antony’s time at Old Trafford for a long while, with it well known even before his loan move to Real Betis in January that he would not be continuing under Amorim beyond the summer.

However, his form while at the La Liga club was nothing short of stunning, with the Brazilian scoring nine goals and registering five assists in 26 appearances across the second half of the 2025/26 season.

While Betis’ interest in retaining the player this summer is well known, Antony is now starting to be courted by clubs across Europe and beyond, including two in the Premier League.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, English sides Brighton and Newcastle have both inquired about the winger, while German sides RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen, as well as Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, remain interested.

United set new Antony price tag

Amid the reported increased interest in his services this summer, United are said to have upped their asking price for the 25-year-old.

According to UOL’s report, Saudi club Al-Nassr, currently captained by United legend and Antony’s former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, have submitted an offer to sign Antony, although the figure is unknown.

Regardless, it’s been reported that United responded to the Middle Eastern side’s bid by telling them they would accept an offer of £50 million, which is a shift from the reported £35 million demands.

With interest growing and United needing fresh funding to secure their final three ideal transfers, they will be hoping that Al-Nassr will return to the negotiating table with an improved offer.
