Two loans expected, one stays: Significant updates emerge on exciting Manchester United trio

Manchester United are expected to send some of their exciting talents on loan for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.

This summer transfer window is crucial for Manchester United to ensure they give Ruben Amorim the best chance of success next term.

While there is a lot of attention on the high-profile deals like Matheus Cunha or Bryan Mbeumo, the club will also be looking at the best way to help their exciting youngsters develop.

INEOS are bringing a youth-centred approach to Old Trafford once again and there have been plenty of signings to fit that mould. Some will be able to break straight into the first-team like Ayden Heaven, while others may need to take the loan route.

United are already assessing how to approach the futures of several upcoming stars, with significant updates on several of them coming out.

Significant update on United trio

Diego Leon agreed to join United from Cerro Porteño earlier this year but has had to wait until this summer to complete the move from Paraguay.

It has been revealed by ManchesterWorld that United will officially complete the signing of the young left-back in July on a five-year contract. The deal will cost an initial £3.2 million which could rise to £7 million with add-ons.

The report added that Leon will likely play in the opening pre-season friendly against Leeds and he could even head out on tour to the United States, but it is unlikely that he will head out on loan, even though it hasn’t been completely ruled out.

Those at Old Trafford have reiterated that Leon will need time to adapt to his new surroundings in Manchester and it seems like he could have a similar integration to Sekou Kone, who played in the Under-21s while training with the first-team.

While it looks like Leon is going to stay at Old Trafford, the aforementioned report also claimed that Kone is expected to join INEOS-owned Lausanne-Sport on loan this summer. It was also added that Enzo Kana-Biyik, who will join the club from Le Havre, is also likely to join the Swiss side on loan.

United will use Lausanne-Sport more often

The potential loans of Kone and Kana-Biyik to Lausanne-Sport this summer would be the first of many deals with the INEOS-owned side.

While there may be concerns about United’s young stars playing outside of Europe’s top five leagues, the game-time will almost be guaranteed at the Swiss side.

United’s biggest problem with loans in recent years has been that clubs end up giving out fewer minutes than expected for the loanees.

Since Lausanne-Sport are owned by INEOS, that is an issue that is much less likely to come up and a significant reason why we could see more loan moves to them in the future.
