Benjamin Sesko is expected to be one of many players to make their official debuts as Manchester United host Arsenal in their Premier League opener next weekend.
After an unbeaten pre-season spanning Sweden, the United States, and Old Trafford, Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are ready to launch their 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
Victories over West Ham and Bournemouth, plus draws with Leeds, Everton and Fiorentina have built momentum ahead of a blockbuster Premier League opener against Arsenal.
Debutants will be in the spotlight, with Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo likely to make their first competitive appearances for the Reds.
Arsenal will also unveil new faces, including Viktor Gyökeres, Martin Zubimendi, and Noni Madueke, as Mikel Arteta’s side also look for a strong start.

United vs Arsenal: Will Sesko start?
Amorim is expected to have both Cunha and Mbeumo in the lineup for this game but there are question marks over Sesko, who only joined the club officially on Saturday.
But the striker’s situation is slightly different to Mbeumo’s for example. The Cameroon international had to wait and build fitness for a couple of weeks before making his unofficial debut against Everton.
In contrast, Sesko had taken part of most of RB Leipzig’s pre-season preparations and played in a couple of their friendly games.
With a full week of training at Carrington to come, Sesko is likely going to be playing from the start for Amorim’s side in this game.
Question marks remain over Joshua Zirkzee and Noussair Mazraoui’s fitness while André Onana is expected to return for the clash. Lisandro Martínez remains injured but is closing in on a return.
