On Saturday, Manchester United face off against their Premier League adversaries, Arsenal in a friendly at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

On Wednesday, the Gunners destroyed the MLS All-Stars 5-0 to kick off their tour in North America, while the Red Devils most recently defeated Lyon 1-0 in Edinburgh.

While many well-known players contributed to the Gunners’ victory, an unfamiliar face in Donny van de Beek stood out during United and Lyon’s matchup earlier this week at Murrayfield Stadium. He made the decisive difference.

Laurent Blanc, watched his team thwart Man United in the first half of the game. However, four minutes into the second half, Van de Beek sunk Les Gones with a beautiful volley.

Also defeating Leeds United 2-0 in Oslo, Ten Hag’s team has now won both of their pre-season friendlies. However, just like with Arsenal, the 20-time English champions will face more difficult opponents while on their North American trip.

André Onana is likely to feature against Arsenal on Saturday evening after joining officially completing his move to the Red Devils.
