One of Tottenham Hotspur’s star players has issued a warning to his side as they prepare to face Manchester United in the Europa League final.
Manchester United face Tottenham Hotspur in a Europa League final on 21 May that holds a lot of importance to both sides’ campaigns.
Ruben Amorim’s team sit in a dismal 16th position in the Premier League, whereas Spurs sit narrowly below them in 17th.
With both sides desperate to salvage their seasons, this final presents both teams with the chance to earn Champions League football for the 2025/26 campaign.
Ahead of the fixture on Wednesday night, Pedro Porro warned his side to not underestimate their opposition and their ‘magnificent coach’ Ruben Amorim.
What Porro had to say about Amorim
When asked about his opposition, Porro was complimentary about the Reds, saying: “Well, I don’t think they’ve lost in the Europa League.
“In the end they haven’t had the luck in the Premier League. It’s like us, isn’t it? But we’re two teams that know how to deliver and it’s going to be a very beautiful final.”
Having played three seasons under Amorim at Sporting CP, winning one league title and two Portuguese League Cups, Porro was also full of praise for the United coach.
“He’s a magnificent coach,” Porro added. “I know him very well. It’s the way he treats the players, he always spoke to me as a person, it’s not just how he treated me from a football perspective.
“The way he works on the pitch is also very good but in this case, I hope I’m the happy one.”
Will Amorim get it right vs Spurs?
In what will be Amorim’s most important fixture to date as the United manager, everyone at the club will be eager for him to get it right on the night.

There is no doubting that their opponents will be up to the challenge, as Ange Postecoglou’s team aim to end their 17 year trophy drought.
Luckily for United, centre back Ayden Heaven returned to action in their 1-0 loss to Chelsea, but it remains unknown as to whether the defensive trio of Leny Yoro, Matthijs De Ligt and Diogo Dalot will be available for the final.
