Benjamin Šeško took part in his first training session with Manchester United on Sunday as he prepares for his debut against Arsenal on the weekend.
Manchester United secured the signing of Benjamin Šeško last weekend in a deal worth an initial £66 million from RB Leipzig.
The 22-year-old striker was unveiled to the Old Trafford crowd before the club’s final pre-season fixture against Fiorentina on Saturday and will be returning to the Theatre of Dreams next weekend.
Arsenal were heavily interested in signing Šeško before they turned to Viktor Gyokeres and so the Slovenian will be eager for a strong start in United colours.
He has a full week of training with his new side before that clash and has already gotten to work at Carrington after his first session on Sunday morning.
After the club uploaded several images of the session on their social media channels, UtdDistrict have noted three interesting things from the training.
Šeško showing his heading ability
There were plenty of images shown of Šeško in action during his first session but it was one photo which has excited fans the most.
Šeško was snapped during a diving header towards goal and United fans are going to quickly get used to his strong aerial presence.
Standing at 6ft 5in and with a fantastic leap on him, Šeško will be looking to thrive alongside Bryan Mbeumo, who showcased his excellent crossing ability against Fiorentina.
Two injury returns for United
While the attention was firmly on United’s new man, the latest training photos did provide a boost for Amorim with two injured players returning to action.
Both Joshua Zirkzee and André Onana were in the session and the latter is expected to start against Arsenal. It is unclear whether Zirkzee will be fit enough to be in the squad.
Noussair Mazraoui remains unavailable after picking up an injury in pre-season and seems unlikely to be fit in time to face the Gunners.
Leon shirt number change
After an image was snapped of Diego Leon’s shirt before the game on the weekend, he was once again pictured with his new United shirt number.
The 18-year-old initially took the no.30 at United but has now swapped to the no.35 and that is likely because Šeško has asked to take the number.

Šeško wore the no.30 at both RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig and is likely to continue doing so at Old Trafford, although he was not pictured with a shirt number on his training gear.
