Three interesting things noticed in Man United footage as Jadon Sancho returns to training
Manchester United released training footage on Friday evening after it was confirmed that Jadon Sancho returned to action at Carrington.
The Reds are preparing for their opening pre-season fixture on Monday against Rosenborg.
It was announced that Sancho had returned to training this week but will not take part in the first friendly game. He will be available for the rest of the pre-season fixtures.
However, after training footage emerged on United’s Thursday session, there were several interesting things noticed.
Sancho & Rashford reunited
Wwith Sancho back in training, Marcus Rashford had a close friend back in the squad. They were spotted as a pair during a running drill in the footage.
Smiles and laughs, it seems like the tension surrounding Sancho has been put in the past, as reports suggest, but it is not confirmed whether he will stay or be sold this summer. It will likely depend on what offers are put on the table.
New coaches address squad
Importantly, this was one of the first training sessions with new first-team coaches Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake.
The coaching staff addressed the squad ahead of the session, and Ten Hag’s new right-hand men will play key roles on the training pitch going forward.
Evans returning
With the new coaching changes and Sancho’s return, it is easy to forget that Jonny Evans returned to action after signing a new deal with the club.
He was spotted in conversation with Ten Hag, who has heavily praised the veteran defender over the last year. Although, he will likely be hoping that his role isn’t as prominent on the pitch as it was last term.
