Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espírito Santo has warned his squad about “quality” Manchester United players ahead of their Premier League clash.
Manchester United return to Premier League action on Tuesday night against Nottingham Forest following the international break, with Ruben Amorim’s squad aiming to maintain positive momentum.
Before the break, the Reds delivered impressive performances and results against Arsenal, Real Sociedad and Leicester City.
However, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will provide a tough test, with the team currently sitting third in the table and they will be full of confidence after securing their place in the FA Cup semi-final on the weekend.
With a challenging run of fixtures ahead, Amorim and his team will be hoping to start this period with three points against the odds against Forest.
Nuno warns Forest squad about “quality” United players
Despite heading into this game as underdogs, United are not being underestimated by Forest or their manager, who is aware that Amorim’s side will provide a “tough” game.
Nuno believes that United have “quality” players across the board who can cause his team trouble, but added that the home advantage gives him confidence heading into the game.
“Tomorrow is going to be tough, Man United are a good team, good players, good coach,” Nuno told the media on Monday. “But you are at home, so we are confident.”
“The quality of the players, the quality of the squad,” he added when asked the challenges Amorim’s side poses for his team.
“You can see the quality of Man United players all over the pitch, they have options and good options and solutions.”
Forest will be focused on in-form Fernandes
While the Forest boss did not namedrop any United players, he will likely be talking about Bruno Fernandes behind-the-scenes to his players.
If you are able to limit Fernandes’ impact on the game, you have a great chance of beating this United side. However, the Portuguese captain has been in electric form.
With 10 goals and assists in his last seven appearances for the club, Fernandes will be hoping to make an impact away at Forest this week.

Despite the problems across the board at Old Trafford this season, the club captain continues to provide important moments for the team.
Since his arrival at the club, Fernandes has played against Forest eight times. He has three goals and two assists in that time and United have won six of those games.
