Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the chiefs at Manchester United have held discussions about a number of potential departures from Manchester United this summer.
Manchester United are gearing up for a busy summer transfer window, with both arrivals and departures expected as Ruben Amorim looks to reshape his squad.
The Portuguese boss has endured a challenging start to his tenure at Old Trafford, recording just 11 wins in his first 23 matches.
While reinforcements are clearly needed, the club must also navigate financial constraints, making player sales essential to fund new signings. As a result, several departures are anticipated at the end of the season.
United have already allowed Marcus Rashford, Antony and Tyrell Malacia to depart on loans until the end of the season and it is expected that all three players leave permanently in the summer.
However, other departures are also expected within the current squad, with several players having major question marks over their future with the club.
Ratcliffe held discussions about three United stars
A new report from GiveMeSport has detailed that co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his management team at the club have held discussions over Luke Shaw, Casemiro and Mason Mount.
It was claimed that the talks were surrounding the player’s reliability, durability and fitness. Shaw and Mount are still out of action with injuries currently.
In fact, Shaw has not started a game for the football club in over a year and is one of the highest-earners within the squad.
The report says that Ratcliffe and the United chiefs are “perplexed” at the on-going cost of keeping a player like Shaw, who supposedly no longer fits the plans at Old Trafford.
It was concluded that all three players will be allowed to leave the club in the summer, with reports already linking Casemiro to Saudi Arabia over the last year.
Shaw and Mount missed their opportunity
Shaw and Mount are not helping their case with their current situations, with fans growing tired of Amorim’s weekly injury updates.
Those two always seem to be on the cusp of returning and then a setback occurs. Shaw had returned to team training recently but is now out of the picture.
It is obviously not their fault and the pair would be desperate to come back and help the team, but for both of them it seems to be getting past the point where Amorim can trust them.
After the injuries to Amad and Lisandro Martínez, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for them to come back from their own injuries to help the team. But they are still no where to be seen and it is inevitable that the leadership will have major questions over that.
