Shock detail emerges from Manchester United’s Ayden Heaven agreement that Rúben Amorim will love
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Ayden Heaven from Arsenal after the defender rejected a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The need to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s squad is evident, and Manchester United’s management is working to finalise deals before the January deadline.
Patrick Dorgu has emerged as the top target to reinforce the wingback position, with United preparing a third bid for the 20-year-old this week.
Additionally, the club is exploring options to bolster the attack, anticipating potential departures of Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford.
However, their first addition of the window has been a market opportunity to sign Arsenal wonderkid Ayden Heaven.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Heaven has agreed terms with United after rejecting a new deal from Arsenal and an offer from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 18-year-old’s medical has been booked and he will soon complete the unexpected move to Old Trafford.
Shock detail emerges as Heaven agrees United move
United have made some good signings for their youth Academy over the last year, with the likes of Chido Obi Martin and Sekou Kone among those to come in.
They could become important first-team players in the future but are currently developing their game with the Under-21s.
Initially, fans assumed the same would be true if the signing of Heaven occurred, but it appears to be a different story for the 18-year-old defender.
According to AcademyScoop, Heaven is considered to be a first-team signing for Amorim’s squad this season.
It was explained that the left-footed central defender will provide competition and cover for Lisandro Martínez on the left side of United’s back three.
Martínez is the only left-footed defender in the first-team at United currently and Amorim has chosen to include 16-year-old Godwill Kukonki for multiple matchday squads.
In a somewhat shocking twist, it seems like Heaven will come in as an immediate option of cover for the Argentine and there is a possibility of regular game-time in the first-team at Old Trafford.

The teenager only made his Arsenal debut earlier this season after coming off the bench against Preston North End in the Carabao Cup.
Amorim will want more work to be done before deadline day but the head coach will certainly be pleased to see an extra body brought in for a key area of the team.
With the importance of build-up in his system, the United boss loves the option of having the left-footed defender on the left side and Heaven provides the much-needed depth behind Martínez that was missing beforehand.
