The final stage of Manchester United’s takeover process is set to be completed soon with hints pointing that Sheikh Jassim has won the bidding war.

Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have been locked in an intense saga for ownership of Manchester United in recent months.

With a bidding process that has taken months and seen nine bids come in across the two parties, a conclusion seems imminent.

A recent report from Qatar outlet Al-Watan has claimed that the process has now been completed, with the Sheikh ending as the successful party.

The Vice Chairman of the Canadian Qatari Business Council and Chairman of Armasite Group, Zaid Al-Hamdan, has now congratulated Sheikh Jassim on his alleged successful acquisition of Manchester United. He is followed by Sheikh Jassim’s brother on social media.

Despite all the coverage of the sale of United across the globe, Qatari outlets have stayed relatively quiet – which hints towards the idea that if they are now reporting on this story, there must be serious weight to the news.

The aforementioned Al-Watan report states that an announcement of the sale is ‘imminent’, with some pointing to a sudden spike in the value of Manchester United PLC shares on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday evening.
