“Sensational” star starts after 23-week wait: Manchester United predicted XI vs West Ham (Premier League)

Rúben Amorim is set to start a “sensational” player at Old Trafford for the first time in 28 weeks as Manchester United line up to face West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Following a resounding 4-1 triumph over Athletic Club that sealed their place in the Europa League final, Manchester United are back in Premier League action this weekend.

Rúben Amorim’s side welcome West Ham to Old Trafford for their final home match before the European showpiece in Bilbao, with just two league games left to play in front of their fans.

With the focus now firmly on continental success, Amorim is expected to experiment with his lineup, offering more opportunities to Academy prospects as he shapes his plans for the final.

Still, with United languishing in 15th place, there’s pride at stake as they look to restore some respectability to a disappointing domestic campaign.

Amorim to reinstate Mount after 23-week wait

Amorim is expected to make a number of changes as United line up to face West Ham, and despite conceding four goals on each of his last two appearances, Altay Bayındır may replace André Onana in goal as the latter is rested.

As for the back three, it’s expected that Tyler Fredricson will come back into the line-up with Harry Magurie and Leny Yoro rested.

Luke Shaw may start after playing 30 minutes against Athletic Club, while Victor Lindelöf may have to continue, being the only centre-back who did not play 90 minutes in midweek.

As for the wing-backs, Amorim has admitted that he will likely not play Noussair Mazraoui, and with Amad now starting to retunr to full fitness, the Ivorian could play as a wing-back on the right if the head coach chooses to try and dominate on the ball.

Harry Amass would then come in on the left to hand Patrick Dorgu, who has started the last six fixtures, a much-needed rest.

In midfeld, with Amorim managing the minutes of Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte could continue in the team, alongside Kobbie Mainoo, who impressed Amorim during his 10 minutes in midweek.

Meanwhile, with Alejandro Garnacho having played from the off on the side’s lasst 14 fixtures, he may be afforded a well-earned rest as Christian Eriksen returns to the side.
