There is a second Manchester United player who has no intention of playing for the club again after Rúben Amorim made his final decision about Alejandro Garnacho.
Rúben Amorim’s Manchester United tenure has begun with a strong statement, as the club confirmed a £62.5 million deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves on the first day of the summer transfer window.
Just a day later, United received another boost with it being widely reported that Bryan Mbeumo is eager to join, despite interest from Newcastle, Arsenal, and Tottenham. The club are thought to be confident that they will be able to secure the Brentford wideman soon.
The positive momentum continued as Bruno Fernandes committed his future to the club, rejecting a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
With key arrivals underway and their captain staying, United’s next step will be to focus on outgoings to fund further reinforcements.
Garnacho will leave United this summer
With United wanting to sell some high-profile names this summer, another who will be out the door in the coming months is Alejandro Garnacho.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the decision has already been made that Garnacho will leave the club this summer, with this being an agreement between all parties involved.
Romano stated that although former United boss Erik ten Hag’s new club, Bayer Leverkusen, are keen on a deal, United’s £60 million demand makes the financials behind the transfer tricky.
However, the Italian transfer specialist did reveal that three Premier League clubs have been in contact with United to understand the specifics behind a possible deal.
Although Romano did not name said clubs, two are almost certainly going to be Chelsea and Aston Villa, both of whom have been linked with Garnacho in the last month.
Sancho will also not play for United again
Following on from the decision that Garnacho will leave Old Trafford, ESPN has also reported that another one of United’s wingers, Jadon Sancho, has “no intention” of playing for the club again.

Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea, playing 42 times. He scored five goals and provided ten assists, with his final involvement for the London club being a lovely strike as they defeated Real Betis 4-1 in the Europa Conference League final.
Despite Chelsea having an obligation to sign the player for £25 million this summer, Enzo Maresca’s side instead chose to pay a £5 million penalty fee to send him back to Old Trafford after the two parties could not agree on personal terms.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Sancho’s most likely destination now lies outside of England, with the player assessing his options amid interest from Germany and Turkey.
