Scott McTominay picks three “world-class” Man United players during Chelsea win
Manchester United hero Scott McTominay has picked out three players he believes were “world-class” during the club’s 2-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
Manchester United collected all three points at Old Trafford against Chelsea on Wednesday as Scott McTominay grabbed both goals to overcome Cole Palmer’s equaliser.
It represents the sixth win in eight games for Erik ten Hag in the competition, with sights set firmly on fighting for a Champions League spot over the Christmas period and beyond, with Manchester City just three points ahead in fourth.

McTominay, although he scored twice, could have had three or four on the night, with the player having five good opportunities to score due to his ability to run into the box.
He is now United’s top scorer this season with six goals to his name, and he recognised at full time that he could have had his first ever hattrick had he “calmed down” towards the end of the tie.
“I’ve always enjoyed getting in the box, and maybe on a different night, I could have had one or two more if I had calmed down on my last one for my hat trick, but that’s football,” he told Amazon Prime.
The Scottish midfielder was also quick to praise his teammates, singling out three in particular for their “world-class” performances on the night.
“I’m delighted to score two, but all the boys, Antony, Bruno [Fernandes], Harry Maguire; I could name a list of players who were world-class tonight, but we have to show that consistently, which has not been the case of late.”
