Ruben Amorim warns Man Utd team about four danger-men for Everton, including ‘amazing’ forward

Ruben Amorim has warned the Manchester United players about Everton’s four danger men, as his side looks forward to their return to Premier League action on Monday.

Manchester United headed into the recent international break in seventh place in the Premier League, off the back of a five-match unbeaten streak.

Ruben Amorim is currently enjoying his best spell as the manager of the Red Devils, but he will face a tough test against Everton on Monday, who are managed by former United coach David Moyes.

The Reds are flying high, with summer signings Bryan Mbeumo and Senne Lammens both receiving plenty of plaudits, and will be hopeful of carrying their unbeaten streak further.

Despite their recent success, United will need to be careful that they don’t take Everton lightly on Monday, with Amorim highlighting the Toffees’ four danger men.

Amorim highlights Everton threat

When speaking to Premier League productions, via the United website, the Portuguese tactician mentioned the compactness of his upcoming opponents and also spoke about their tricky wingers.

“They [Everton] are really compact,” Amorim said. “You cannot see the results, you need to see the games, to understand that 3-0 against Tottenham [shakes head]. If you see the game, it’s set-pieces.

“I think [Jack] Grealish is doing really well. He can push that team, can give weight to that team. [Iliman] Ndiaye is an amazing player.

“They can put [James] Garner as a right-back. But also [Jake] O’Brien, I think, is going to play, because of set-pieces.

“So, all these things, [it] is a more complete team, and David Moyes is doing an amazing job. It’s going to be really, really tough to win the game.”

United need to capitalise

With an attractive run of fixtures on the horizon, as well as the fact that the Reds only have two competitions to focus on, they really need to capitalise on their situation.

There isn’t a much better time to pick up form as a Premier League side than when entering the busy Christmas period, but fortunately for United, they have managed to do so.

Despite a few knocks in their latest fixture against Tottenham Hotspur, Amorim has an almost fully fit squad at his disposal, even including the impending return of Lisandro Martinez.

Clearly, United’s Portuguese manager doesn’t see Everton as a walk in the park, and it will be interesting to see how he sets his side up as the Reds aim to go six matches unbeaten.
