Ruben Amorim set to send exciting Man Utd duo on loan next season, one heading outside of England

Ruben Amorim looks set to send two exciting Manchester United prospects on loan next season as they continue their development.

Manchester United have deliberately focused on strengthening their youth ranks in recent transfer windows, bringing in promising talent both domestically and internationally.

Among the additions is Sekou Kone, who joined the Under-21s from Malian side Guidars FC. The club also secured Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven in the last year, both arriving from Arsenal.

A notable double signing saw Tyler and Jack Fletcher — the twin sons of club icon Darren Fletcher — make the switch from rivals Manchester City in the summer of 2024.

There are plenty of exciting players in the Academy and we have seen debuts for Obi, Harry Amass and Tyler Fredricson under Ruben Amorim so far this term.

However, these young players aren’t always thrown straight into the first-team at Old Trafford and instead build their profile in the professional game through loan spells.

Amorim to send Kone and Moorhouse on loan next season

It appears that loan exits are on the cards for two of United’s most exciting talents, with MailSport tipping both Kone and Jack Moorhouse to get experience away from the club next season.

A fresh report from the outlet has explained that “loan moves beckon for both” of those players and there are indications that Kone will be sent to another country in Europe.

Meanwhile, it was claimed that Moorhouse already has various clubs in League One and League Two ‘desperate’ to sign him on loan for the upcoming campaign.

Both are talented midfield players who operate in slightly different roles. While Moorhouse is an offensive-minded player who likes to drive into forward areas, Kone is naturally deeper and prefers to try and dictate the tempo.

Some fans believe that they are players who should get opportunities in the first-team soon but it appears that United are choosing the loan route for them both instead.

United need to improve their loan success

Sending young players on loan can be brilliant for their development, best shown by the progress Amad made during his time at Sunderland in 2022/23.

However, United’s success in these kind of moves in recent years has been questionable. We have already seen Ethan Wheatley and Sam Mather return to United’s youth teams at the end of this season as they cannot get minutes for their loan clubs.

It is a difficult balance that United have struggled to find. The idea of searching for a loan elsewhere in Europe for Kone seems like a positive sign.

But the proof will be in the pudding, and United need to start seeing more success in these moves, especially with talents such as Moorhouse and Kone set to head out.
