Ruben Amorim praises three Manchester United stars after Arsenal draw, including “very smart” outcast

Ruben Amorim was full of praise for three Manchester United stars after the club’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal on Sunday night.
Manchester United and Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, with Bruno Fernandes’ brilliant free-kick canceled out by Declan Rice’s equalizer.
Despite fielding a weakened side, Ruben Amorim’s United were defensively solid, limiting Arsenal’s chances. Just before half-time, Fernandes struck a stunning free-kick to give the hosts a deserved lead.
United improved in possession after the break but midway through the second half they allowed Declan Rice too much space on the edge of the box to level the score.
In the final moments of the game, the Reds looked the more likely to find a winner, creating several chances, but the game ended in a stalemate.
Amorim praises impact of Fernandes
United would have felt unfortunate to only come away from that game with a point but the performance was promising and several United stars played well.
Of course, the standout player in the game was Fernandes. He produced the magic moment for United and looked solid all game.
After the game, Amorim was full of praise for his captain, and said that he could do with more players in the squad like him.
“We need more Brunos. That is clear,” he told journalists. “Not just the quality, the character, not some mistakes, but the character that he has.
“Thee availability in this league, is so important and he’s so decisive with the ball and without the ball.”
Amorim also praises defensive duo Lindelöf and Heaven
United were also defensively strong against the Gunners despite some enforced changes to the side after injuries.
Victor Lindelöf came into the team for the first time in the Premier League this season after Harry Maguire was ruled out for the clash.
18-year-old Ayden Heaven also came on at half-time against his former side to make his league debut for United after Leny Yoro was forced off through a knock.

Amorim was very happy with both Lindelöf and Heaven, praising the experienced Swede’s intelligence when playing under pressure.
“Victor Lindelof hadn’t played many matches and he managed very well,” Amorim continued. “Vic is very smart in tight spaces.”
He added: “Ayden’s so relaxed. He seems so relaxed that sometimes he’s too relaxed. But I think we have a player there.”
