“I like…” Rúben Amorim names legend his Manchester United stars MUST copy in new transfer hint
Rúben Amorim has hinted at the legend his Manchester United players must be like as he delivers a fresh transfer hint.
Rúben Amorim has been unveiled as Manchester United’s new head coach, replacing Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman’s troubled spell came to an abrupt end.
Ten Hag was dismissed last month following a catastrophic run of results that left United sitting 14th in the Premier League and 21st in their Europa League group, trailing far behind their rivals.

Amorim, while confirmed as the club’s new manager, has yet to take charge due to delays linked to his release clause. His first match in charge is set for Sunday, 24 November, when United visit Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
In the meantime, Ruud van Nistelrooy served as caretaker manager, leading United to an impressive run of three wins and a draw. He has since departed as Amorim’s new coaching staff begins to implement their vision at Carrington.
Players must copy Keane
Rúben Amorim has been doing the rounds in the media as he prepares for his first game as head coach of United.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Rúben Amorim revealed that he feels he needs his players to develop the personality of former captain Roy Keane. He also admitted that he hopes to bring in transfers with a similar attitude.
“He was a player that I really liked,” Amorim said of Keane. “I know he’s a little bit crazy, but he was a massive player. And I like players with character.
“I think they (the United players) can improve. Not just what Roy Keane did on the pitch, but the way he influenced the others. I think that is very important. You must have this kind of player in the big clubs. And I hope we’ll have in the future players like Roy Keane.”
Further, Amorim went on to explain that he cannot wait to meet former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, as there are so many questions he would like to ask the legendary boss.
“Sir Alex Ferguson, you want to ask so many things,” Amorim admitted. “I think he will talk about horses. He told me that. I don’t understand nothing about horses. But it will be amazing to meet that kind of character.”
