Ruben Amorim has triple injury suspension risk ahead of Manchester United vs Leicester City
Manchester United return to FA Cup action against Leicester City on Friday evening as they host The Foxes in a fourth-round tie.
Manchester United pulled off a stunning victory over Arsenal on penalties in the FA Cup third-round despite going down to 10 men in the game.
Ruben Amorim’s side have been extremely inconsistent in the Premier League and will be aiming to do well in the cup competitions.
Progression to the Europa League knockout rounds has been secured and Amorim will also be eyeing to progress further in the FA Cup.
United are the holders of the competition after beating Manchester City in the Wembley final last term and could move into the fifth-round by winning against Leicester City.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side have been struggling and United have already beaten them on two occasions so far this season, both while Van Nistelrooy was in interim charge at Old Trafford.
United have triple suspension risk vs Leicester
United will likely put out a strong team in this clash as there has been a full week in between games.
However, Amorim also has several players who are on the verge of suspensions in this game after receiving bookings last time out in the FA Cup.
FA Cup rules state that any player that plays for a club that enters the competition in the third round must serve a one-match ban after being awarded two yellow cards, with the cut-off point not until after the quarter-final stage.
Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire were all cautioned in the victory over the Gunners, and so need to avoid any bookings to be able to play in the fifth-round, should United get there.
All three players are expected to start the game, with Mainoo likely to play more advanced in one of the no.10 positions.
Diogo Dalot was sent off in the third-round too but served his suspension in the Premier League while Lisandro Martínez was also booked but has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
Dorgu expected to make United debut vs Leicester
Meanwhile, this game also provides an opportunity for Patrick Dorgu to make his United debut after signing for the club in the mid-season transfer window.
The Danish international was alongside Ayden Heaven last weekend to be presented to the Old Trafford crowd ahead of the game against Crystal Palace.
Now, he will want to start getting involved and Amorim will be keen to introduce him to the team against The Foxes before he delves into Premier League action.

United’s biggest problem in recent months has been the wingback areas and Dorgu’s abilities should be able to help in that aspect, with fans excited to see what he can bring.
