According to a new report, Rúben Amorim has selected his four Manchester United players who are “unsellable” this summer, as Leny Yoro is dropped from the list.
Manchester United are planning a major squad clear-out this summer as they look to give Rúben Amorim the tools to rebuild at Old Trafford.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are aiming to offload at least ten senior players, with a mix of contract expiries and planned sales expected to bring in significant funds.
Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelöf, and Jonny Evans will all leave when their deals run out at the end of June, while Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho are among those likely to be sold, potentially generating more than £100 million.
The futures of several others remain uncertain, including Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho, as the club balance rebuilding ambitions with the need to ease financial pressures.
Amorim selects his four unsellable players
Bruno Fernandes was recently linked with a move away from United this summer, with Saudi club Al Hilal keen on prizing the Portuguese Magnifico away from Old Trafford before the Club World Cup starts on 14 June.
However, is has been relayed by those in England that United have no intention of selling their club captain this summer, as he is one of the players Amorim has deemed unsellable.
Further to this, a report from the Daily Star has added that United see Fernandes as one of four players that will not be sold from Amorim’s squad this summer.
United recently extended the contract of centre-back Harry Maguire by a further season, and Amorim is said to see him as a player who must stay at Old Trafford beyond this summer as he looks to keep leadership in his dressing room.
Aside from Fernandes and Maguire, Amorim is keen to keep star winger Amad in his squad, while new signing Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu is also not available for transfer after the club signed him from Lecce for £25 million in January.
Yoro unlikely to be sold this summer
While previous reports have stated that Leny Yoro has also been deemed a player who is not considered for sale, he is not on the aforementioned list, although it remains highly unlikely that the French teenager would be considered for transfer.
United signed Yoro last summer for around £52 million, beating Real Madrid to the former Lille defender, and he has since established himself as one of United’s best central defenders.
In the last few months, Yoro has become an integral part of Amorim’s defensive line, excelling as a left-sided centre-back in the absence of Lisandro Martínez. The teen has been very complimentary of Amorim in the last few months, stating that he feels the head coach offers a sense of reliability.
“He understands us a lot because he was a player before so he knows a lot about what it’s like, the feelings you can have when you play or don’t play and when you have a bad game,” Yoro told club media earlier this year.

He knows how to manage this, and I think this is the most important [thing].
“Tactically, he is top. We don’t have too much training to learn everything, but he tries to give us everything before the game to be 100 per cent the best version of the team. We know he is with us and we are with him, so it’s good.”
