Roy Keane reveals surprise positive for Rúben Amorim after Manchester United’s loss vs Arsenal
Roy Keane has pinpointed a positive Rúben Amorim can take following Manchester United’s loss against Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
Rúben Amorim experienced his first defeat as Manchester United’s head coach as the team fell 2-0 to Arsenal on Wednesday evening.
Playing at the Emirates Stadium, United focused on containing Arsenal’s in-form attack by maintaining a disciplined defensive structure. The strategy proved effective in the first half, though it came at the expense of United’s attacking rhythm.

Arsenal, however, found the breakthrough in the second half, capitalising on their physical dominance during set pieces to score twice from corners.
Despite the loss, there were some encouraging signs for United, including a solid performance from Harry Maguire and a promising debut for Leny Yoro. Nonetheless, Amorim faces plenty of work in the weeks ahead to address the areas in need of improvement.
Keane’s positive for Amorim
Speaking on The Overlap after the full-time whistle, former United captain Roy Keane assessed what Amorim will take from the side’s loss.
Depsite the loss, Keane explained that Amorim will be able to learn more from this game than the other three he has coached combined.
“It’s been a mixed bag for him,” Keane stated. “Some of the games, that was obviously our toughest game tonight, and they’ve come up well shor.
“He learned more from tonight than the previous three games he’s had. Do you know what? When you see a game like that against a decent team like Arsenal, it makes you realise the big job he’s got ahead of him. Huge.”
