“Outstanding!” – Roy Keane admits Man United star has proved him WRONG
Roy Keane has admitted that one Manchester United player has proved him wrong after Erik ten Hag’s FA Cup win over Manchester City.
Manchester United delivered their best performance of the season under Erik ten Hag, triumphing over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
First-half goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Player of the Match Kobbie Mainoo put United ahead, leaving Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions struggling to catch up.

Despite a goal from Jeremy Doku, Manchester City couldn’t cope with United’s tactical discipline and ultimately fell short. Ten Hag’s team outplayed their rivals and deservedly claimed victory.
However, it was Bruno Fernandes who Roy Keane believes is the man who proved him wrong, praising his “outstanding” performance and leadership skills.
“I’ve been critical of Bruno over the years, but I’m happy to be proved wrong,” Keane told ITV.
“His leadership today was outstanding. We’ve always mentioned how brilliant he’s been as a player, but you know, I’m just pleased for the fans.
“It’s been a frustrating few months. Yeah, we’re quick to criticise, and Man City didn’t play well today, but it’s about United today, and you’ve got to enjoy these moments.”
Speaking generally on the trophy win, he said: “Absolutely amazing. That was a proper Man United performance. They were dogged, they sat in, they played some good stuff going forward.
“They scored two goals, and I think they had a bit of confidence coming into the game from their games against Newcastle and Brighton back scoring goals.”
