Roy Keane believes Benjamin Šeško must learn one thing from ‘mad’ Manchester United teammate

Roy Keane has suggested that Benjamin Šeško should learn one thing from a ‘mad’ teammate at Manchester United.

Benjamin Šeško returned to the Manchester United lineup on Sunday afternoon as the Reds fell to a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

The 22-year-old striker returned from injury last week and would have wanted to make an impact at Villa Park when he was named in the starting 11.

While he put the effort in and helped with pressing, Šeško was unable to make the difference in the final third and would have been frustrated that he couldn’t put away the one-on-one he was supplied in the first-half.

Ex-United captain Roy Keane has explained that Šeško should be looking at Matheus Cunha, who scored United’s only goal against Villa, and taking something from his game.

Keane: Šeško must learn one thing from ‘mad’ United teammate

Cunha was impressive against Villa even though he should have scored a second goal after a brilliant cross came in from Patrick Dorgu.

The Brazilian takes responsibility in games and even though that sometimes means he misses out on passes or holds the ball too long, Keane appreciates that mentality.

Keane believes that Šeško needs to learn to be ‘a little selfish’ like Cunha, who reminds him of Cristiano Ronaldo in his early days at Old Trafford.

As per ManchesterWorld, Keane said: “I like Cunha… a bit selfish, a bit mad. He reminds me of Ronaldo, when I used to lose my head at him for not passing the ball… and the next minute, he’d score a hat trick.

“That’s what United need again. Less smiles, more killers. Let Šeško learn to be a little selfish too.”

Šeško needs to be demanding

It is ironic that the best opportunity in the air at Villa Park came to Cunha and not Šeško. While the striker can improve in certain areas, he is not always getting the best service.

Early in the second half of the game, Šeško played a pass wide to Dorgu and immediately pointed to where he wanted the cross. He made his run but the Dane could not beat the first man with his cross.

United suddenly started putting the ball into the box while Šeško was out and that is something he needs to demand when he is on the pitch, but those on the wings need to find consistent deliveries.

That is definitely an area where Šeško needs to be selfish. He is still very young but the no.30 needs to be demanding like any top striker is to their teammates.
