Roy Hodgson’s side are suffering from an injury crisis at this moment in time and fielded a depleted XI on Tuesday evening and he has admitted that he might have to play almost the same team on Saturday.
“We don’t have a lot of changes we can possibly make. We are facing a similar scenario, potentially, that we faced tonight.
“We don’t have a number of people available that can make such a vast difference to our own team.”
Ajelandro Garnacho, Casemiro, and Anthony Martial were the three goalscorers who put Palace to the sword in the Carabao Cup, with Ten Hag receiving some injury boosts as Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount started for the first time since their respective injuries.
Although Mount came off at half-time, the club confirmed after the game that this was pre-planned as he rebuilds his fitness.
