Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has rejected three proposals from the Saudi Pro League which would have made him one of the best-paid players in the world.

Marcus Rashford admitted to being open to leaving Manchester United in a recent interview, sparking rumours about a potential January transfer exit.

The 27-year-old forward was left out of four consecutive matchday squads for Ruben Amorim’s side before being reinstated against Newcastle United earlier this week.

However, he was an unused substitute for the 2-0 defeat, which underlines his current position at Old Trafford following that interview.

Despite his future at United being up in the air, Rashford clearly does not just want to leave for any club and has ambitions to return to the England squad under new boss Thomas Tuchel.

That is why the forward has rejected several big-money offers from Saudi Arabia, who have Rashford on a list of ‘elite’ targets.

It has been reported by The Times that Rashford has turned down the chance to become one of the best-paid players in the world after rejecting three Saudi Pro League proposals.

The report revealed that Rashford, if he accepted, would have earned almost £675,000 per week, over double what he currently earns at United.

He would also not have to pay income tax in Saudi Arabia, while in the UK he is in the top tax bracket of 45 per cent.

As mentioned previously, Rashford is ‘determined’ to return to the England team, the report adds, and acknowledges that he must be playing at the highest level of domestic football.

Rashford is open to staying at United if such an offer does not come around, with the club open to potential loan deals that cover his salary.

The report also mentions that staff at the club’s training ground say that Rashford has been working hard to improve his form rather than sulking because of his recent absence.
