Jadon Sancho will join up with the Manchester United squad at Carrington next week when they return from Spain, according to Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst.

The 22-year-old winger was left out of the England World Cup squad and had been training with Dutch coaches recommended by Erik ten Hag during the break.

He was left out of United’s travelling squad for friendly games against Cadiz and Real Betis this week.

“Jadon Sancho is continuing his individual training programme as part of a process to get back to his highest level,” United explained on their website.

Since then, Samuel Luckhurst has revealed that United have the intention for Sancho to rejoin the squad in Manchester next week.

The young talent has had a difficult time at Old Trafford since his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund, but it seems that he is focused ahead of the return to club football.

The aforementioned report added that staff at the club say that Sancho is brilliant when he is trusting of people.

A source said that it “takes a bit to get to know him” as Sancho is quiet and unassuming. People at United find when they broach a subject Sancho is engaged in he opens up swiftly.

Despite his difficulties at United so far, it still seems clear that he’s at the forefront of Ten Hag’s planning going forward.

Seeing Marcus Rashford rejuvenated with The Three Lions should give Sancho confidence to push through this period and come out on top.
