Revealed: How many Jadon Sancho shirts Borussia Dortmund have sold so far

A new report has revealed just how many Jadon Sancho shirts Borussia Dortmund have sold since the Englishman joined the club on loan earlier this month.

Sancho, who returned to the Bundesliga giants on the 11th, made an instant impact, picking up an assist in his debut match less than 20 minutes after coming off the bench.

The Englishman was handed the No. 10 shirt previously worn by Dortmund great Mario Götze and, most recently before Sancho, Thorgan Hazard.

With his return to Germany clearly treated as a big deal by the club, Sancho’s return has already proven to be a commercial success for the Bundesliga side.

According to a new report from BILD, there have already been 5000 sales of Sancho’s number 10 jersey, bringing in over €500,000 (£427,967) for the club and its suppliers.

2000 of these sales occurred before the club officially had the shirt on sale, with fans instead demanding personalised printing of his name and number.

The impressive returns Sancho’s jersey has brought the club has already moved the Englishman’s jersey into the top five best-selling shirts at the club this season.

Sancho’s move back to Dortmund came after the winger was expelled from the Manchester United squad back in September following his public falling out with United boss Erik ten Hag.

Describing himself as a “scapegoat” Sancho would remain out of the Manchester United team, banned from using any of the first-team facilities.

Since rejoining Dortmund on loan for the rest of the season, Sancho has received words of advice from numerous sources, including Premier League legend Alan Shearer.
