Real Madrid star sends supportive message to Facundo Pellistri, transfer situation clarified

Facundo Pellistri has received a supportive message from one Real Madrid star as his Manchester United transfer situation is clarified.

Pellistri, 22, starred during Urugauy’s last outing in the Copa America. He scored the opening goal in a 5-0 win over Bolivia and assisted Federico Valverde.

The United youngster has cemented his place in the starting XI going into the final group game, with the two-time World Cup winners in pole position to progress to the knockout stages.

After displaying positive signs during a difficult loan spell in La Liga last term, the winger will be delighted to be making a significant impact for his country at a major tournament.

Pellistri posted on Instagram after the victory. He wrote: “A beautiful night with an amazing atmosphere, thank you! Come on Uruguay, one step closer!”

Real Madrid and Uruguay star Valverde replied to the United star with a supportive yet simple message. “Thanks to you,” he said.

The Urugauy captain has clearly been impressed with the United starlet, whose future still seems to remain in the balance at Old Trafford.

Prior reports have explained the transfer stance United have on the 22-year-old. He could make a permanent move away from Old Trafford, with the club hoping that his sale, alongside others, could help raise funds for signings.

Pellistri joined United in the summer of 2021 and has made 24 appearances for the first-team. The winger has spent time on loan at Alaves and Granada during that time.
