Real Madrid star sends three-word message to Jadon Sancho after MOTM performance
Jadon Sancho was the Man of the Match in the Champions League semi-final first leg between Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
Sancho, 24, completed 12 take-ons in the 1-0 win for the Bundesliga side, which was the most at that stage of the competition in the last eight years.
The United loanee earned deserved praise after his performance following a difficult first half of the season at Old Trafford.
He had been exiled from Erik ten Hag’s first-team squad after releasing a statement that essentially called the manager a liar. Ten Hag claimed that Sancho was left out of a matchday squad due to his training performance.
A loan away in January was needed, and Sancho returned to Dortmund. He is now one step away from the Champions League final.
Should Dortmund progress to Wembley, they will either face Real Madrid or Bayern Munich – with that semi-final first leg ending 2-2.
Vinicius Jr scored both goals for the La Liga leaders in that game, and the exciting Brazilian winger has since sent a message across to Dortmund loanee Sancho.
Sancho posted on Instagram after the game on Wednesday evening with the caption: “We go again next week in Paris!”
In the comments, which remain limited to those Sancho follows, Vinicius Jr praised his counterpart, writing: “What a player.”
Sancho, who addressed his future at Old Trafford afterwards, also received comments from the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Shea Lacey.

Asked by CBS whether he will remain in the Bundesliga, Sancho admitted that he was unsure on his future beyond this season.
“I really don’t know. I’m just focused on just the present right now,” he responded.
