Real Betis confirm travelling squad to face Man United at Old Trafford in Europa League
Real Betis have confirmed their travelling squad to face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the first leg of their round of 16 clash.
United are looking to bounce back from their embarrassing result against Liverpool by putting one foot into the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
With the first encounter against the Spanish opposition coming at Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag will be eager for his team to show a reaction on Thursday.
One positive that The Reds will be eager to take advantage of is the absence of Nabil Fekir, whose serious knee injury keeps him out of action for an extended period.
Sergio Canales’s return to the squad will be a boost for Manuel Pellegrini, with the midfielder being a key component behind Betis’ impressive form in La Liga this season.
They are currently sitting in fifth place, just three points away from Real Sociedad in fourth and will be travelling to Manchester on Wednesday afternoon to prepare for their Europa League bout.
Their full squad for the clash can be viewed below:
Real Betis squad: Bravo, Rui Silva, Dani Martín, Sabaly, Edgar, Victor Ruiz, Pezzella, Luiz Felipe, Abner, Miranda, Guido Rodríguez, William Carvalho, Guardado, Canales, Luiz Henrique, Joaquín, Aitor Ruibal, Rodri, Juanmi, Dani Perez, Borja Iglesias, Willian Jose, Ayoze.
United were victorious against Barcelona over two legs in the previous round and will feel confident going into this tie, despite the 7-0 thrashing they suffered at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday.
They now have four games until the international break, including this one, to show a reaction and get back into winning ways.
