Rasmus Højlund receives ‘important’ message from Man Utd teammate amid RB Leipzig loan enquiry

Rasmus Højlund has received an important message from one of his Manchester United teammates this summer as RB Leipzig consider a loan move.

Manchester United have had a positive pre-season so far after three games, with the latest win over Bournemouth being the best performance and result.

Ruben Amorim is desperate to turn things around at Old Trafford after a dreadful first campaign at the club. Their opening Premier League clash comes against Arsenal in a couple of weeks.

We have already seen some interesting changes in the latest few weeks and the new signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo will help that further.

Rasmus Højlund will be hoping to improve his game after experiencing major struggles across the entirety of last season.

Højlund receives important message from United teammate

Højlund, 22, came into the summer window with a £38 million price tag as the club consider their options, although he has made it clear that he wants to stay and fight for a spot at the club.

He responded well to the recent rumours surrounding a potential move for Benjamin Sesko by scoring twice in the win over the Cherries.

After that clash, his fellow Dane, Patrick Dorgu, spoke to the media and explained the importance for Højlund to gain confidence and deliver on the pitch this season.

“He’s doing really well. He looks sharp, he looks fit and I’m very happy for Rasmus to get his goal. It was a difficult season for Rasmus,” Dorgu said this week, as per The Republik Of Mancunia.

“Not only for him, but for everyone, so I think this season is really important for him and for the team to get back to where we have to be in the league.

“We need a striker to deliver on the pitch, so that’s why he was happy. We talk in training, we try to understand each other on the pitch, for me to know where he is in the box and what movements he likes.

“He needs confidence, everyone needs confidence and a goal always helps with that.”

RB Leipzig interested in Højlund loan

While the player himself has made it obvious that he wants to stay at United, reports have also suggested that this could change if he was told by the club that they want him to leave.

That has not happened so far this summer but there have been some recent developments regarding RB Leipzig which are interesting.

Of course, United are considering a move for the German team’s striker Sesko, and it has been reported that Leipzig consider Højlund as a ‘dream’ signing.

Now, reports from Sky Sports state that the Bundesliga outfit are interested in Højlund and have explored the conditions of a loan deal.

For those at Old Trafford, it would probably only make sense to include Højlund in a deal to secure Sesko, otherwise he is best-placed fighting for a spot at Old Trafford.
