Randal Kolo Muani breaks silence on potential transfer amid Man United loan interest
Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani has broken his silence on a potential transfer amid reported loan interest from Manchester United.
Manchester United welcomed Ruben Amorim to the club last week and he is starting to prepare for his first game in charge against Ipswich Town this coming Sunday.
The 39-year-old head coach has started working with the squad at Carrington and will be considering who fits into his incoming 3-4-3 system and who doesn’t.
With various tasks already, one of Amorim’s most important responsibilities is to get the team to start scoring goals on a consistent basis.
Man Utd interested in Randal Kolo Muani loan
A report from German journalist Christopher Michel states that United are considering a January loan move for Kolo Muani, who is out of favour in the PSG side.
The French striker has started just two of the opening 11 league fixtures and has only come off the bench in the Champions League games.
United are not able to splash the cash in the mid-season window, after their managerial switch and spending over £200 million in the summer.
But the aforementioned report claims that a loan move for Kolo Muani is something those at Old Trafford are taking a closer look at.
Randal Kolo Muani breaks silence on transfer rumours
Despite the uncertainty around his future at the Parc des Princes, the French forward has reitterated his desire to remain at PSG and fight for a place in the team.
“No, I’ve never thought about it,” he replied when asked by Téléfoot whether there is a possibility of a transfer exit.
You have to keep the mentality. It’s up to me to keep working so that the coach trusts me. That’s part of my story.
“I’ve always had to work hard, things have never been easy for me. You can’t let up. If you let up, it’s over, then you’ll go under.”
The 25-year-old’s desire is commendable but it doesn’t seem likely that he is breaking back into the team under Luis Enrique and he could have a different stance come January.
United will also have more of an idea of what they want to do in the window by then, as it gives Amorim around six weeks to work closely with Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee to assess whether they are fit to lead the line in his team.
