Manchester United are targeting some of the most talented players in Europe ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
Ruben Amorim is in desperate need of reinforcements in his Manchester United squad before his first full season in charge at the club.
The Reds are looking to make several signings once the current campaign finishes and also sell multiple players who have not future under Amorim.
However, the club are not going to bring in big names for high prices like they have done beforehand. Instead, they are looking to implement a smarter approach, signing younger players with the talent to become world class stars.
The January additions of Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu and Ayden Heaven are examples of what the INEOS-led regime are looking for, and several summer targets have already been identified.
United impressed by “powerful” Bellingham
Jobe Bellingham is among a group of young midfielders United are looking at signing this summer, with the Sunderland starlet set to leave if they do not gain promotion to the Premier League.
The talented Jobe – younger brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham – has been catching the attention of various top clubs with his performances in the Championship.
Described as “powerful” by Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris, the 19-year-old midfielder has made 34 appearances so far this season and UtdDistrict understands that he has impressed United’s recruitment staff.
Bellingham’s performances this season have also earned him a call-up to the England U21s squad on two occasions, and his latest display for Lee Carsley’s side was extremely impressive.
Bellingham stars for England U21s vs Portugal
In a 4-2 win over Portugal U21s on Monday evening, Bellingham shone for the Young Lions in the centre of midfield.
He completed 66 of his 69 attempted passes, completed all three of his attempted take-ons and also won nine duels in the clash.
To put the cherry on top of his performance, the teenager registered an assist for Ethan Nwaneri in the early stages of the game. SofaScore provided Bellingham with a Man of the Match rating of 7.7.
The recruitment team at Old Trafford will be showcasing the different options to Amorim ahead of the summer and he will be part of the conversations when discussing who to move forward with.
Should Bellingham continue to produce performances like that, the United boss will have no problems with trying to bring him to the club in the summer.
