Player Ratings: Manchester United 2-3 Nottingham Forest (Premier League)
Manchester United lost 3-2 against Nottingham Forest in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
The Reds went a goal behind in the opening minutes of the game as they conceded again from a corner kick as Nikola Milenkovic leaped high and left André Onana with no chance of saving his headed effort.
Amorim’s side remained calm and dominated proceedings at Old Trafford until Rasmus Højlund found the equaliser shortly before the 20-minute mark.
But once again United conceded in the opening stages of the second half and then went 3-1 behind not long afterwards with some comical defending.
While Bruno Fernandes pulled a goal back midway through the half, Amorim’s side were unable to get an equaliser and lost the game.
The United player ratings can be read below.
Man Utd player ratings vs Forest
André Onana – 3/10
Extremely poor for the second and third goals. Wasted about 30 seconds trying to take a free-kick in added time. His worst display this season.
Leny Yoro – 6.5/10
A solid first start and looked mostly comfortable. Beat in the air by Chris Wood for the third goal but it should’ve never gone in.
Matthijs de Ligt – 5/10
A disappointing display in the middle of the defence.
Lisandro Martínez – 4/10
Good in possession but a bewildering mistake for the third goal. It looked like he could’ve easily cleared it off the line.
Amad Diallo – 7/10
Great when the ball actually came to him but that wasn’t often enough. Another assist.
Manuel Ugarte – 7.5/10
A good opening half and it was his through ball which opened up Forest for the equaliser. Slightly worse in the second half.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6/10
It was a decent performance overall. Made some things happen in attack with his footwork but you want to see him drive forward with the ball from deep more.
Diogo Dalot – 5/10
Too wasteful on the left side, especially with a couple of shots.
Bruno Fernandes – 7/10
Involved in both of the goals. Brought off early. OK game.
Alejandro Garnacho – 4/10
Minimal involvement and when he did get the ball he was often wasteful. Replaced early.
Rasmus Højlund – 6/10
Good anticipation to score his goal but could’ve got more chances with some better movement throughout.
Substitutes
Marcus Rashford – 5/10
Harry Maguire – 6/10
Noussair Mazraoui – 7/10
Joshua Zirkzee – 5/10
Mason Mount – 5/10
