Player Ratings: Manchester United vs Liverpool (FA Cup quarter-final)
Manchester United won 4-3 against Liverpool after extra-time to secure their place at Wembley in the Emirates FA Cup semi-final.
I cannot quite explain what just happened. One of the best United-Liverpool derbies I’ve ever watched.
The player ratings can be read below.
André Onana – 8/10
So unfortunate with some of those deflections. His passing was unbelievable.
Diogo Dalot – 9/10
One of the best players on the pitch.
Victor Lindelöf – 6/10
An OK display in difficult circumstances.
Raphaël Varane – 8/10
Great performance.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6.5/10
A very important job on the right. Salah was lucky that the ball deflected to him for his goal.
Kobbie Mainoo – 7.5/10
Kobbie Mainoo did Kobbie Mainoo things. Looked so elegant on the ball and created good chances through that. Unfortuante that he deflected the first past Onana.
Scott McTominay – 8.5/10
Goal. Assist. Energy. Difficulties throughout but the midfielder made a big difference.
Bruno Fernandes – 6.5/10
Some poor moments but he looked injured late on and fought through like a true captain. Ended the game at centre-back.
Alejandro Garnacho – 10/10
I don’t care that there wasn’t a goal. He got the match-winning assist and worked his absolute bollocks off. That’s a Manchester United player performance.
Rasmus Højlund – 6.5/10
Not so much to work with, but he looked sharp, barring a slip before a shot.
Marcus Rashford – 8/10
Brilliant goal after some missed chances. Great performance.
