Manchester United drew 1-1 against Italian outfit Fiorentina at Old Trafford in their final pre-season game of the summer.
After conceding a poor goal from a set-piece early on in the game, Manchester United grew into the game and scored an equaliser from their own corner.
Ruben Amorim’s side showed some good play once again as they searched for a winner but were unable to find the back of the net again before the full-time whistle.
The Reds won the penalty shootout after the game but will be hoping to show an improved performance next week when they face Arsenal.
United’s player ratings can be read below.
United player ratings vs Fiorentina
Altay Bayındır – 6/10
Couldn’t do much about the goal. Poor distribution.
Leny Yoro – 7/10
Involved in trying to push United’s goal over the line. Some good moments on the ball and when defending.
Harry Maguire – 7/10
Done well in the middle of defence and came close with a fierce shot.
Ayden Heaven – 7/10
Extremely calm on the ball.
Amad – 7/10
Some good link-up. It feels like he can still find another level when connecting with Mbeumo.
Casemiro – 6/10
Some dodgy moments but also involved in the goal and came close with another header.
Bruno Fernandes – 8/10
United’s best player. Created the goal with a brilliant corner and brilliant all afternoon.
Patrick Dorgu – 6/10
An underwhelming first half but much better in the second period.
Bryan Mbeumo – 7.5/10
His first touch is unbelievable and we also got a taste of his in-swinging crosses. Another solid display but still looks like he’s got much more to give.
Mason Mount – 7.5/10
So energetic and one of United’s better players. He’s had a good pre-season.
Matheus Cunha – 6.5/10
Very good link-up throughout and came close to scoring with a lovely effort from range.
Substitutes
Luke Shaw – 6/10
Matthijs de Ligt – 6/10
Kobbie Mainoo – 7/10
Diogo Dalot – 6/10
Manuel Ugarte – 6/10
