Match Coverage
Player Ratings: Manchester United 0-2 Crystal Palace (Premier League)
Manchester United lost 2-0 against Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
The Reds started the game well and Kobbie Mainoo came close to scoring the opening after his effort inside the box struck the post.
However, Ruben Amorim’s side had constant vulnerability at the back and Palace ended up making them pay in the second half.
United offered little offensive threat and can have no complaints about the scoreline.
The United player ratings can be read below
United player ratings vs Palace
André Onana – 5/10
Maybe should’ve tipped the ball over the bar for the first goal, might be slightly harsh.
Leny Yoro – 6/10
Difficulties in that second half.
Harry Maguire – 5/10
A good first half but he was worse in the second period, sleeping for the first goal and missing the offside trap for the second.
Lisandro Martínez – 6.5/10
A good display until he suffered an injury which looks to be serious.
Noussair Mazraoui – 5/10
Little impact compared to when he’s playing in the back three.
Manuel Ugarte – 4/10
Palace constantly bypassed him in the midfield and despite some decent challenges, it was a huge problem for United.
Bruno Fernandes – 6/10
Decent but felt like he needed to be closer to goal today.
Diogo Dalot – 3/10
Fortunate that a lapse in concentration didn’t cost United in the first half. We all know he is not impactful going forward and it was the same story.
Amad – 6/10
Some dangerous moments but the final action didn’t come off.
Alejandro Garnacho – 6/10
Solid first half but went quiet in the second half.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6/10
Really good start to the game and came close to scoring but faded out of the game.
Substitutes
Joshua Zirkzee – 4/10
Rasmus Højlund – 4/10
Matthijs de Ligt – 6/10
Christian Eriksen – 6/10
