Manchester United were comfortable victors against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup as Erik ten Hag’s side won 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag’s side were very impressive across the entire third-round clash, which has been a rare occurrence for The Reds so far this term.

Sofyan Amrabat impressed on his full debut for the club as he operated as an inverted left-back. Mason Mount also looked sharp on his return to the side.

First half goals came from Alejandro Garnacho and Casemiro, before Anthony Martial grabbed his first of the season in the second half.

The full player ratings can be read below:

Andre Onana – 6/10

Not much to do all evening.

Diogo Dalot – 7.5/10

An incredible run, touch, and assist for United’s opener. Solid throughout.

Raphael Varane – 8/10

Very good on his return to the lineup. United look much more comfortable with him in the defence.

Harry Maguire – 7.5/10

Impressive performance. Important interception early on to stop a certain goal and looked confident throughout.

Sofyan Amrabat – 8.5/10

He looks like exactly what United needs. Always offering on the ball, good decision making and solid defensively. He was absolutely everywhere on the pitch. Great cameo.

Casemiro – 8/10

The Brazilian midfielder hasn’t been at his best this season but his attacking contributions from midfield have never been in question. A great goal and assist. He also looked better in deeper areas but still room to improve and get back to his levels from last season. Amrabat can help that.

Mason Mount – 8.5/10

One of the best players in the first-half. Great pressing, really positive on the ball and involved in the first two goals. Subbed at half-time and almost certain to start on the weekend.

Hannibal Mejbri – 7/10

Another solid display from the midfielder. His decision-making and energy are definitely helping United in the middle.

Facundo Pellistri – 7/10

Started slowly but grew into the game. Impressive pass into Dalot for the opener. Decent second half.

Anthony Martial – 7/10

Got a deserved goal in the end after some good moments. A performance to build on.

Alejandro Garnacho – 8/10

Made smart decisions on the ball and was in the right place to score the opener. Good finish. Great out of possession too.

Substitutes

Victor Lindelof – 7/10

Good moments playing as the inverted left-back in the second half.

Jonny Evans – 7/10

Almost scored another goal from a corner but it was well saved. Decent otherwise.

Dan Gore – 7.5/10

The 19-year-old got his United debut on his birthday and had a really positive cameo.

Donny van de Beek – 7/10

A solid cameo. Good link-up.

Rasmus Hojlund – 6/10

Not much to do after United took their foot off the gas.
