Manchester United won 2-0 against Aston Villa in their final Premier League game of the 2024/25 campaign at Old Trafford.
Should we be happy or annoyed? That was probably the best minutes of football we’ve seen from the home team at Old Trafford this season, and it comes now.
Manchester United were excellent and eventually managed to find the opening through Amad and then the Ivorian won a penalty which Christian Eriksen dispatched.
A huge boost occurred on the turn of half time when Emiliano Martínez produced a moronic moment and earned himself a red card, putting Villa down to 10 men.

He should have cost United a goal but was saved by the referee. Huge issues in between the sticks for United.
Victor Lindelöf – 7.5/10
It was his last game at Old Trafford and he had a good performance.
Harry Maguire – 7.5/10
Set up Dalot for a big chance in the first half, did well.
Ayden Heaven – 8/10
One poor pass which set up a Villa attack early on but was very solid from that moment.
Noussair Mazraoui – 7/10
Started well but looked to pull his hamstring. The best injury he’s ever going to get in his career as he looks like he’ll miss this post-season tour.
Casemiro – 8/10
Done really well in the middle. Some good passes and tackles.
Bruno Fernandes – 8.5/10
Controlling things again. Brilliant assist and gave the penalty to Eriksen as a classy gesture.
Patrick Dorgu – 8/10
A very good performance.
Amad – 8/10
Not actually too involved in the first half but impactful in the second, with a great goal and also winning the penalty.
Mason Mount – 7.5/10
Very bright display. Probably should have put at least one of his chances away.
Rasmus Højlund – 6/10
Some decent touches. Good anticipation to read the pass back which led to the red card.
