Manchester United drew 1-1 against Arsenal in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford after a stunning Bruno Fernandes free-kick was cancelled out by Declan Rice’s strike.

Ruben Amorim was forced to put out a weakened Manchester United side to face Arsenal on Sunday afternoon and fans were nervous ahead of the game.

United were very sold defensively to open the half, however, giving minimal chances to Arsenal in their defensive shape.

A moment of magic from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick gave Amorim’s side the opener just before half-time and it was a deserved lead.

United were more improved in possession in the second half but allowed too much space for Declan Rice to score an equaliser.

The Reds were the more likely to score the winner, with several good chances, but the game ended in a stalemate.

United player ratings can be read below.

United player ratings vs Arsenal

André Onana – 5/10

Some dodgy passes in the first-half. OK afterwards.

Matthijs de Ligt – 7.5/10

Playing very aggressively and got it right most of the time.

Victor Lindelöf – 6/10

Mixed performance. Some good moments but also too many amateur errors on his return to the lineup.

Leny Yoro – 7/10

A good display but replaced at half-time with a knock.

Noussair Mazraoui – 8/10

Brilliant display. One of United’s best players when they improved in the second half.

Casemiro – 8.5/10

Top performance by the Brazilian, who is making a case to start over Manuel Ugarte when he returns from injury.

Bruno Fernandes – 8/10

A solid performance topped off by scoring a wonderful free-kick. United’s hero at the moment.

Diogo Dalot – 6/10

Old Trafford crowd frustrated with his attacking contribution but a decent overall display.

Christian Eriksen – 6/10

A decent first half but looked leggy in the second.

Alejandro Garnacho – 7.5/10

United’s only real outlet. Won the dangerous free-kick which Fernandes scored from and some other good moments throughout.

Joshua Zirkzee – 6/10

Not too involved with the ball. Worked hard.

Substitutes

Ayden Heaven – 8/10

Toby Collyer – 6/10
