Manchester United once again embarrassed themselves away at a big Premier League rival, being absolutely hammered by the worst Liverpool team in the last six years.

United looked shaky from the start, and despite creating some chances failed to take them and this would cost them just before half-time where Liverpool went 1-0 up through Cody Gakpo after some torrid defending.

Where in other games United have rallied at half-time and come back, in this one the players completely fell apart and would go on to concede a further five goals in the second half.

Here is how UtdDistrict rated the players:

David De Gea – 1/10

May as well have not turned up with a goalkeeper.

Diogo Dalot – 2/10

Should’ve had an assist in the first half, but the defending was poor for a few Liverpool goals.

Raphaël Varane – 1/10

Was a fitness doubt before the game, and probably wishes he’d failed the fitness test. Poor performance.

Lisandro Martínez – 1/10

Today was all bark with no bite. Poor performance, didn’t channel his aggression well whatsoever.

Luke Shaw – 2/10

Nearly had a sublime assist at 0-0. Fell apart defensively after the goal.

Casemiro – 1/10

Very sloppy performance, completely fell apart.

Fred – 2/10

Caused issues in the first half, although tracked poorly for the Liverpool opener. From that point, United fell apart.

Antony – 1/10

His absolute worst performance of the season. Genuinely got nothing right.

Bruno Fernandes – 1/10

Should’ve had a goal in the first half, and where he was supposed to lead the team after that point fell back into the poor habits of the back half of last season. Disgraced himself.

Wout Weghorst – 1/10

Very forgettable performance.

Marcus Rashford – 1/10

Should have scored in the first half, and otherwise wasn’t seen much.

Substitutes

Scott Mctominay, Marcel Sabitzer, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia – N/A

Unfair to rate the subs coming into such a situation, were let down by the players before them.
