Player Ratings: Ipswich Town 1-1 Manchester United (Premier League)

Manchester United drew 1-1 against Ipswich Town in Ruben Amorim first Premier League game in charge.

It was the perfect start for Ruben Amorim after Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for Manchester United after the first minute of the game.

Ipswich Town battled back well and equalised with a deflected strike minutes from the break.

The second half didn’t provide many chances for Amorim’s side, with André Onana being the standout player for the team.

There have been positives and negatives from a United side that are learning a new system, but Amorim will want major improvements very soon.

Some absolutely unbelievable saves. Couldn’t do anything about the deflected goal.

Noussair Mazraoui – 6.5/10

A decent display centre-back. Unfortunate to deflect a shot into Onana’s goal.

Matthijs de Ligt – 7/10

Solid in the middle of the back three.

Jonny Evans – 4/10

A difficult game for him, looked too slow and came off early in the second half.

Amad Diallo – 8/10

Absolutely phenomenal run and cross for the early assist and has been mostly solid defensively as well.

Casemiro – 6/10

An OK first half but quite slow to react to certain moments, including the goal. Brought off early in the second half

Christian Eriksen – 6/10

Not much from him in the middle.

Diogo Dalot – 6/10

Decent first half but some poor moments in the second period.

Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

Looked good as one of the advanced midfielders, with a nice mix of simple and creative passes. Not as good when moved deeper.

Alejandro Garnacho – 5/10

Couldn’t find the final ball all night and didn’t look entirely comfortable when receiving inside.

Marcus Rashford – 7/10

Great run and finish for the goal but not much else from him.
