Player Ratings: Grimsby Town vs Manchester United (Carabao Cup)

Manchester United were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after losing on penalties to League Two side Grimsby Town.

Yes, you’ve read that correctly. United went 2-0 down and Grimsby scored two offside goals too. United scored twice late to take the game to penalties but came out second best.

The United player ratings so far can be read below.

United player ratings vs Grimsby

André Onana – 0/10

One good save in the shootout but pushed three or four others into the net. The less said about the 90 minutes the better. Should be sold before deadline day.

Tyler Fredricson – 1/10

Extremely tough half and subbed at the break.

Harry Maguire – 4/10

Good header for the equaliser and strong penalty.

Ayden Heaven – 4/10

OK.

Diogo Dalot – 1/10

Terrible.

Manuel Ugarte – 0/10

He is already one of the club’s worst-ever signings. No top team would ever imagine having this kind of player in their midfield, let alone for £50 million.

Kobbie Mainoo – 7.5/10

This is a footballer, and it should be a crime to let him leave before many others in this squad.

Patrick Dorgu – 2/10

Some very poor touches and hit a cross into Row Z.

Amad – 2/10

So unusually poor on the ball, including for the opener.

Matheus Cunha – 4/10

Unfortunate to miss his penalty.

Benjamin Šeško – 4/10

Quiet.

Substitutes

Matthijs de Ligt – 6/10

Bruno Fernandes – 6/10

Bryan Mbeumo – 6/10

Mason Mount – 6/10

Joshua Zirkzee – 6/10
