Manchester United drew 1-1 against Fulham in their second game of the new Premier League season in a tight clash at Craven Cottage.
Manchester United once again started the game as the better team and Matheus Cunha was unfortunate to not open the scoring. Fulham also had a few chances, mainly from set-pieces.
Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty late in the half but Leny Yoro opened the scoring early in the second half of the game after an attacking corner.
But the Reds allowed the hosts to build momentum and they eventually got an equaliser, and were probably unfortunate to not score another.
The United player ratings can be read below.
United player ratings vs Fulham
Altay Bayındır – 5/10
Some decent distribution and a couple saves but looked so shaky from corners.
Leny Yoro – 8.5/10
Won the header to score United’s goal and was brilliant defensively.
Matthijs de Ligt – 7/10
Very good in the first half, some question marks over his role in the goal.
Luke Shaw – 7/10
Done well and helped calm down things a few times. Could tell he needed to come off when he did though.
Amad – 6/10
One poor moment but made up for it afterwards. Not too involved and subbed early in the second half.
Casemiro – 5/10
Bypassed way too easily in the middle. Subbed off early in the second half.
Bruno Fernandes – 5/10
Decent display up until his penalty. Horrible spot-kick and looked unnerved afterwards. Not great in the second half.
Patrick Dorgu – 6/10
OK defensively but some silly fouls.
Bryan Mbeumo – 6.5/10
Not as involved as last week. Good delivery for United’s goal.
Mason Mount – 7/10
Some really nice play in link-up. Looked sharp and United barely created after he was subbed.
Matheus Cunha – 7/10
United’s most dangerous player in the opening 30 minutes and was really unlucky to not have scored at least one. He didn’t get many chances after that.
Substitutes
Diogo Dalot – 4/10
Benjamin Šeško – 5/10
Manuel Ugarte – 5/10
Harry Maguire – N/A
Ayden Heaven – N/A
