Player Ratings: Aston Villa vs Manchester United (Premier League)
Manchester United drew 0-0 against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as Erik ten Hag’s side put in another underwhelming display.
United played this game as a team lacking confidence and with a manager on the verge of the sack – and that is exactly what they are.
A defensive team dealt with Villa’s front line well, but they were underwhelming. It was a boring game and that is exactly what the visiting team wanted.
Erik ten Hag’s future still looks questionable and that performance showed that he is not exactly progressing this United team right now.
The player ratings can be viewed below.
André Onana – 5/10
Not much to do. A few sloppy passes.
Noussair Mazraoui – 6.5/10
A good half but looked to come off injured.
Harry Maguire – 7.5/10
A very solid first half but pulled up towards the end of it.
Jonny Evans – 7.5/10
A solid game back in the team. Defended well.
Diogo Dalot – 7/10
A decent performance. Game-saving block at the death.
Kobbie Mainoo – 7/10
Back in the team and some good work in the middle.
Christian Eriksen – 6/10
Did a decent job in the midfield.
Alejandro Garnacho – 4/10
Poor game. Tested the goalkeeper a couple of times but difficult to get any consistent attacking momentum. Wasted a great opportunity at the end of the game.
Bruno Fernandes – 3/10
Another extremely poor game. He’s fortunate an international break comes round the corner otherwise you’d be arguing that he must be dropped.
Marcus Rashford – 6/10
A decent start but had to focus on defensive duties before coming off early again.
Rasmus Højlund – 4/10
Not a great display.
Substitutes
Victor Lindelöf – 5/10
Matthijs de Ligt – 6.5/10
Antony – 4/10
Joshua Zirkzee – 4/10
